Alexander Hughes Alexander Hughes, born and raised in South London. He began drawing from a very young age, as he would sit for hours copying characters from his favourite cartoons and comic books. Never really paying attention to school, Alexander discovered his creative nature with in Art, in which he then pursued through to college. During college, Alexander then became aware of graffiti and street art, leading his work into a new direction, learning the techniques and skills involved, Alexander was able to apply these concepts to his illustration work.
He then went on to study a Degree in Digital Animation, but by the third year Alexander realised he had no desire to become an Animator and wanted to illustrate for a living. Freelancing was slow so Alexander Started a clothing company named New Crack City. This was a great way to showcase his work and earn at the same time as well as creating awareness and leading to more freelance work. In 2010 He ran a pop-up store named The Dopespot in the famous Camden Stables Market where he sold his own t-shirts and artwork as well as performing live Art. After the store Alexander Interned in Graphic Design and Illustration at London Proud Galleries London. Alexander Currently has published illustrations in Who’s Jack Magazine on a monthly basis as well as working on his own projects.
