Lucy Farfort Lucy is an illustrator and designer-maker based in Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK. Her illustrative style is bold and quirky with a humorous twist. The images she creates start of as freehand drawings which are tranferred onto her trusty old mac where colour, pattern and texture are added. Lucy has done a variety of commissions including editorial, promotional, t-shirt designs and album artwork. Some of her previous clients are Boxfresh clothing, University of Manchester and Narc Magazine.
Although her background is in illustration she also creates a range of handmade items such as pouches, glasses cases and t-shirts as well as art prints and cards. The main body of Lucy’s handmade work is made using recycled vintage fabric and each item incorporates one of her illustrations. She uses the fabric to compliment and contrast with her own designs to create a beautifully unique item and transform her 2D illustrations into 3D products.
