Barbara Oettinger Searle Barbara Oettinger Searle (Santiago de Chile, 1981) is a Visual Artist and an Illustrator. She studied painting at the University of Chile where she obtained the bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts (2006). In 2007 she obtained the Bachelor’s Degree from the Postgraduate course of Arts and New Technologies, Interactive Multimedia Mention at the same University. Her work has been featured in Art galleries and Art museums. Barbara is currently studying to obtain a Master of Visual Arts Degree at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, which was financed by FONDART (Fondo Nacional de las Artes, Chile), scholarships and internships line (2008-2009). Her interests are based in visual arts, however she is also interested in other visual languages. For her these are just mediators of creation and it is for this reason that she introduced herself into the world of illustration as a parallel form of creation. Barbara is always creating new things and different projects which she produces in different ways, with different techniques in order to find the right way to communicate her ideas. In the field of illustration, she creates digital illustrations conducted by mixing the analog with the digital. She scans different textures and then she uses them to compose the illustrations, giving a new visual and richness to the pictures. |
