Alexei Taylor Alexei Taylor is a New York City based illustrator. His humorous and whimsical work captures the paradoxical ‘deep’ truth within our seemingly superficial contemporary landscape. His illustrations combine digital technology with more traditional mediums such as etching and oil painting to address an array of issues as topical as they are enduring.
Initially trained as a studio artist (NYU, 2001), he has exhibited his digital prints, engravings and paintings in numerous solo and group shows in New York City and Mexico City. After graduating with an M.P.S from New York University’s Interactive Art Department in Tisch School of the Arts (2003), Alexei began to incorporate digital elements into his art and illustrations. Alexei’s illustration has been featured in museums, galleries, magazines, brochures, books, and websites. His clients are corporate, not-for-profits, small businesses, hospitals and universities. His work has reached a broad audience with his collaboration with artists, activists and academics in various cultural and academic institutes.
